"In the Pink: A Celebration of Women's
Strength, Beauty, and Healing"

September 14, 2011 - October 8, 2011

Opening Reception: Wednesday September 14 at 5:30
at The Atrium at Harris Place.

Provenance Center is honored to host the sixth annual "In The Pink" celebration of life, hope and strength in the ongoing campaign to promote education and awareness concerning issues of breast health, illness, treatment and recovery in the lives of women faced with this daunting life challenge. Within this exhibit, a wide variation of images is presented with the intent to encourage both dialogue and reflection on the serious subject of female breast cancer. While not a conventional treatment approach, healing through artistic expression takes many forms and is capable of impacting both those directly afflicted by illness and loved ones often forced to stand helplessly by as a piece of their heart and life is slowly removed. Whether in terms of communicating information, sharing emotions, or providing a dimension of spiritual balance, art is a uniquely human language with the capacity to bring light to our darkest hours.
Let all engaged in the struggle out of the darkness of the breast cancer experience be an inspiration to all people seeking meaning, beauty and courage in life's journey. ~ Nadesha Mijoba
